Description
De Vecchi Giuseppe brand Blue Silicone Grouphead Gasket 8.5mm. Please note that it is best not to use sharp
objects to install as the silicon will tear. An extra-thick 8.5 mm silicone group gasket for many espresso
machines.
E61 groupheads vary slightly from manufacturer to manufacturer and your particular model may take anywhere from
8mm to 9mm. New machines with tight tolerances may take 8mm SKU #6154.
For new and lightly worn Rocket brand machines, we suggest SKU #1701 which is around 8.2mm. A couple of
spacers SKU # 2032 can be
used to fine tune a fit - spacers are .05mm thick.

Apparently this gasket was designed for the ECM rocket so there was some questions as to whether it would actually fit.
Initially, I didn’t think that this would work as it seemed too thick to fit on the group head. With careful placement and a lot of force we managed to get the gasket on and the basket attached.
We turned the heat on and left the gasket in place with the basket on the machine. After an hour or so we removed the basket. Since then the basket goes on and off easily and there is a tight seal with the gasket staying in place.
