  • Description
  • The Rancilio Clever left-side steam valve with a vacuum-breaker valve integrated within.

This is the newest clever 1/8 turn "quick throw" steam valve for ALL Rancilio commercial machines. This valve replaces all previous steam valves and is now standard on all Rancilio commercial espresso machines. This valve also features a built-in vacuum-breaker valve to prevent milk being drawn into the boiler from the steam wand.

The major benefit of the clever handle is that it fully opens with only 1/8 of a turn! Turning down is for precise steaming and full control versus turning up locks the steam valve fully open allowing hands free operation. The new style steam valve has two major advantages over the old valve and we do not even bother replacing the troublesome rubber gaskets on the old valve anymore - it just isn't worth it. The new valve is just that good!

Installation tips: If you can, remove the valve and steam wand at the same time. It is easier to switch over the wand when the valve is outside of the machine. Make sure the steam wand nut is very secure on the valve so that it does not work loose over time and fall off, potentially causing a scalding issue for someone. Lastly, after the new valve is installed, ensure the valve is visually centered in the steam knob hole. Use a medium or large flat blade screwdriver to center it before putting the knob on.
