Description
The boiler safety valve for the ECM & Rocket Giotto & Cellini semi-automatic espresso machines. Solid brass with a 3/8M fitting.
If the steam pressure rises too high in the boiler, this valve will open to safely release the excess pressure. Also, if the boiler overfills with water to the top, it will release through this valve. Over time, the Teflon seal inside this valve will wear down and the valve will begin to hiss--slowly releasing steam pressure. At this point the valve should be replaced.
Note: Some older versions of the ECM Giotto & Cellini have a boiler which requires a safety valve with a 1/4M fitting (NB700218)
