- This pressure switch is used on the Rancilio S24 and Epoca S1 Tank and is the low water sensing system which controls heat to the boiler. This pressure switch is used on the Rancilio S24 and Epoca S1 Tank. There is a microswitch inside which is pressure controlled; usually with a hose fitted to the water reservoir. If the water reservoir is full, pressure is applied to the switch and the heating element is enabled.If you suspect the switch is faulty, blow and suck on the hose and listen for the click of the switch operating (usually near the top front of the machine.
